Combined DSC/VHF Marine Transceiver
The IC-M411 DSC/VHF is a competitively priced transceiver that is
compact in size, easy to use and has excellent receiver sensitivity and
speaker audio. The IC-M411 features an AquaQuake draining function that
emits a buzzing sound which sheds water from the speaker system,
assuring you sharp, clear communications even in the worst conditions. Superior receiver sensitivity and speaker audio
The IC-M411 has excellent receiver performance. The efficient speaker
also reproduces a low frequency audio composition for clear and crisp
audio.
Class D DSC built-in
The IC-M411 has a built-in Ch 70 (DSC channel) receiver, which monitors
activity, even while you are receiving another channel. When in an
emergency situation, an automated distress call can be sent with a touch
of a button.
Digital selective calling features
DSC uses a unique ID (MMSI code), so you can make contact with the
intended ID station or group directly, or with all ships in the area. A
total of 100 address IDs can be programmed with 10-character address
name and up to 20 received DSC messages are stored.
Position request and polling request
When connected to an external GPS receiver, the position request
function allows you to exchange the ships position information. The
polling (request/reply) function checks whether a specific ship is in
the communication range.
IPX7 waterproof protection
The IC-M411 and microphone, withstands submersion in up to 1m depth of
water for 30 minutes (equivalent to IPX7 waterproofing.*)
AquaQuake draining function
AquaQuake draining function emits a vibrating sound and clears water
away from the speaker grill.
NMEA input
When connected to an external GPS receiver, the IC-M411 displays the
ship’s position. The IC-M411 supports NMEA 0183 Version 2.0 and 3.01.
Supported sentence formats are RMC, GGA, GNS and GLL.
Large LCD
The large LCD shows a full sized channel number and 10 character
scrolling channel comment. The 4 levels of LCD backlight make the screen
easy to see in all conditions.
Simple operation
9 clearly labelled buttons below the display are well spaced for optimum
user friendly operation. The “Distress” button is covered with a spring
loaded plastic cover to prevent accidental distress call activation.
The supplied remote function microphone allows you to select channels
and change output power directly.
Favourite channel function
This function allows for quicker channel selection. Set the “Tag”
channel to the channels used most often. When pushing the up/down
buttons on the hand microphone, only the tagged channels are selected,
while untagged channels are skipped.
